It’s a childhood desire to be a part of tribe. It’s why we were all brownies right?
Tom and Rob understood this, and so established their own tribe with the finest company.  In 2013 they took on the ultimate challenge, to run 1,000 miles across 30 Eastern European Countries. The course was tough but the cause was worthy, in an attempt to raise money for charity Love146. The charity helps to raise awareness for the prevention of human trafficking. Aside from the cause another important factor was the fuel hence the creation of their own energy and nutrient dense trail mixes to keep the sore feet ticking over.

These protein power packs are now available straight to your door to inspire and fuel your own challenges, from 10 metres to 10,000 miles. Selflessly we have tried and tested each of the bars to offer a little insight into these delightful treats, and hopefully push you to complete your current feat.

Wild Apricot, Pecan and Lucuma Bar (Dates, Cashew Nuts, Organic Wild Apricot, Pecans, Lucuma, and Himalayan Salt)
This bar is super sumptuous and bursting with apricot. The lucuma offers a subtle sweetness without making it sickly and overpowering. The low GI helps to regulate the blood sugar levels and prevent you from having a crash, which can often be the case with sweet treats.

Cacao and Almond Bar (Dates, Almonds, Cashew Nuts, Organic Cacao Nibs, GF Oats, Organic Cacao Powder, Chia Seeds, Vanilla Powder and Himalayan Salt)
Equally as gooey as the last bar but with a more indulgent and rich chocolate flavour. Honestly this one tastes too good to be healthy. The dates offer the initial burst of energy that you need followed by nutrient dense seeds, nuts and oats acting as the perfect slow burners to keep you plodding.

Cacao Seeds (Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Organic Toasted Coconut, Organic Date Syrup, Organic Cacao Butter, Organic Cacao Powder)
Anyone with a constant craving for coco pops has got to try this one. Although a little dry they are a nice change from sickly gels and just plain nuts, and who can resist healthy chocolate?

Laugavegur Trail Mix (Cacao Seeds {above}, Organic Manuka Raisin, Hazelnuts, Pecans)
This packet of joy uses the ‘Cacao Seeds’ from above mixed up with hazelnuts, pecans and some tongue tingling manuka raisins. It’s like a mini party to tease the tastebuds!

Pip & Nut Coconut Almond Butter (Almonds, Coconut, Agave, Sea Salt)
Anyone who know us well understands the love that we have for this golden goo! We used it to power our 2015 London Marathon and so couldn’t be happier to see it tucked in our tribe box!

Please don’t panic upon seeing the calorie information labelled on the packaged treats! The bars and trail mixes range from around 170kcal and 150kcal depending on which you choose. However, the point of this food is for it to be small volume but high energy to make it the perfect on the go snack…I mean no one wants to be running with a back pack full of kale in order to consume the same amount of energy!

We couldn’t agree with the boys more than natural energy is where the powers packed and fuel is at!
