The Race: Paris Half Marathon

Who we ran with: Fitbit

How far did we go? 13.1 miles

Plodded upon: Roads and a few cobbles

What did we wear:

  • Bra – Lulu Lemon
  • Long Sleeve Top  – Lulu Lemon
  • Leggins  – Lulu Lemon
  • Shoes – Adidas for H and ON for E

Where’d we go?

We began in the Botanical Gardens, and headed out through the 12th arrondissement crossing over La Seine river and onto the South Bank. After around 2 miles we crossed back over the river and continued up Boulevard Henri IV towards the Bastille. A sharp left turn took us to Saint Jacques Tower and back along the north bank of the river, under all the bridges along the way. Finally aeft turn back brought us back into the botanical gardens and right over  the finish line.

We LOVED…

Starting in the 1hr 35min pen. We normally struggle for the first two miles or so running around people, so it was refreshing to settle straight into our stride.

We Struggled…

For some reason we both go it in our heads that a half marathon was 20km not 21km! What bananas!

Why this Race…

It’s only a short trip on the Eurostar, yet it really felt like a proper little getaway.

Famous Faces…

Two of our marathon team; Alex and Ces.

Mid run Brainwave…

If you see a water station approaching and you don’t want water you better MOVE to avoid mid run, slightly questionable bottle to bin aiming!

Rocket Fuel…

Pre run overnight oats with honey and peanut butter, and a nibble of the Munchfit muffins because we simply couldn’t resist! We obviously tucked into more of these post race!

Number 1 Fan…

The Fitbit team!
